In this age of pluralism it is very important for us to impart biblical spiritual values in our younger generation, so that as they will grow and serve the Lord. With this aim we have Sunday school on every Sunday 8:00 AM– 9.30 AM. Sunday school has periodical assessments to test the knowledge they have gained and they also have annual examination.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
We have a youth wing for the character development and spiritual growth of our youth in this technically savvy generation. They gather for Youth meeting on every first Sunday of the month after regular Church service. Talents test and annual competitions are also conducted every year.
We have a strong group of sisters who serve the Lord and body of Christ with their gift of prayer. They gather for prayer and fellowship twice in a month on Tuesdays. They share from Word of God,exhort through testimonies and pray for the needs of the church. They help the needy through their contribution and take care of our chain prayer.
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalms 133:1)
For spiritual growth and fellowship our families gather in two different places as cell groups for prayer and fellowship on every Friday mornings at AG Nagar and Kavanad. In these meetings believers often bring their friends to these fellowships and introduce them to Christ. In cell meeting all have the opportunity to discuss spiritual things, share their testimonies, pray for each other.
Praise and Worship
Experience the love of the Christ through lively spirit-filled worship by our welcoming community. We have our youngsters leading the congregation in praise and worship every Friday and Saturday 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
A fasting prayer is being conducted on the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of every month to ask forgiveness for sins, to humble ourselves before the Lord and for the spiritual growth of the church. Usually visiting ministers share from the Word of God, exhort and encourage us to live a holy and acceptable life unto the Lord.
We have set every Monday morning for outreach work which includes tract distribution and house visiting and also often our brothers reach the unreached of this city with the gospel in whatever way God leads them. We also support mission work in North India at present and will stretch our hands to the rest of the world as God opens doors for us.
Family fellowship is being organised every Wednesday in Kollam city and every Thursday in Shakthikulangara and Kavanad areas and Tamil cottage prayers on Thursday in order to facilitate time for the believers to know each other and to renew their love and fellowship in Christ Jesus.
